Summary:

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Public Health Analyst I to facilitate planning and implementation of the Emerging Infections Program (EIP) Healthcare Associated Infections – Community Interface Activity (HAIC)/ (ERIB). 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide programmatic and technical support (REDCap, MS Teams, Power BI) to CDC staff and EIP partners. 
  • Analyze or study project implementation procedures for improvement. 
  • Work with program specialists and/or scientists to develop viable implementation procedures, coordinate revisions, and develop project documentation (SOPs, programming code review in R/SAS, training materials). 
  • Perform day-to-day project management tasks to support HAIC projects and ensure objectives are accomplished; recommend or take corrective action. 
  • Communicate with internal and external project leaders and partners and respond to requests for assistance. 
  • Develop and maintain project and product databases (e.g., REDCap), SharePoint sites, MS Teams, Power BI, and other data-sharing approaches internally, with EIP partners, and with the public. 
  • Participate in developing and maintaining public-facing EIP HAIC webpages and data visualization platforms. 
  • Participate with scientists and program consultants in project development and evaluation, including literature searches/reviews and summary preparation. 
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and 1–2 site visits to ensure communication and standardized protocol interpretation. 
  • Participate during CDC response activities and training exercises under direction of the DHQP Team Lead; duties include staffing the EOC desk to help support CDC’s mission. 

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and work professionally and collegially with a highly educated, scientific customer base that is under pressure and in the public eye every day. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently, be solution-oriented, motivated, and committed to customer and company success. 
  • Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities. 
  • Expertise in project management tools and software, including but not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, and OneNote.  
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree plus 3–5 years of relevant work experience in a relevant public health or related field. 
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment. 

 

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $108,000 annually.
