1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains how MediJobs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit or use https://medijobs.us (the “Site”), whether as a job candidate, an employer/recruiter, or a general visitor.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information candidates provide: name, email address, phone number, resume/CV, work history, and any other information you choose to include in your profile or application.

Information employers/recruiters provide: company name, contact details, job listing content, and billing information needed to process payment for paid listings (payment card details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers ourselves).

Information collected automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referral source, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 3).

Information from third-party login: if you register or sign in using a third-party account (e.g., Google), we receive basic profile information such as your name and email address from that provider (see Section 7).

3. COOKIES & TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes:

  • Essential cookies: required for core site functionality, such as keeping you logged in, remembering items in a checkout process, and site security.
  • Analytics cookies: we use Google Analytics (or a similar analytics service) to understand how visitors use the Site (e.g., which pages are viewed, general traffic patterns) so we can improve the Service. Analytics data is generally aggregated and not used to individually identify you.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect Site functionality (e.g., staying logged in).

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use collected information to:

  • Operate and maintain the Site and its core features (job search, applications, listing management).
  • Display candidate profiles/resumes to employers and job listings to candidates.
  • Process payments for paid employer listings.
  • Communicate with you about your account, applications, or listings.
  • Send job-related email communications (e.g., new job alerts, application updates), where you have not opted out.
  • Monitor and improve Site performance and security.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Candidates ↔ Employers: if you apply to a job or make your profile visible, the relevant employer can view your profile/resume and application details.
  • Service providers: we share information with trusted third parties who help us operate the Site (for example, hosting providers and our payment processor), solely for the purpose of providing their service to us.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • Business transfers: if MediJobs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy or a successor policy.

6. THIRD-PARTY & AGGREGATED JOB LISTINGS

Some job listings on the Site are aggregated from third-party job boards or employer career pages rather than submitted directly through the Site. If you click through to apply on an aggregated listing, you may be redirected to an external website. Any information you provide there is subject to that third party’s own privacy practices, not this Policy. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any external site before submitting your information.

7. SOCIAL MEDIA & THIRD-PARTY LOGIN

If you choose to register or log in via a third-party account (e.g., Google), that provider may share your name, email address, and profile picture with us to create and manage your MediJobs account. We do not receive your third-party account password. Your use of any third-party login provider is also governed by that provider’s own privacy policy.

8. DATA RETENTION

We retain candidate profiles, resumes, and employer listing information for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account or data (see Section 10), we will remove it within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain certain records (e.g., billing records) for legal or accounting purposes.

9. DATA SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

10. YOUR RIGHTS & CHOICES

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. Regardless of location, you can:

  • Update or delete your candidate profile or resume directly through your account, or by contacting us.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing or job-alert emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or by contacting us.
  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you by contacting us at the email below.

We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.

11. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Site is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete that information.

12. NO HIPAA-COVERED DATA

The Site is not designed or intended to collect, store, or process Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA. Please do not submit patient health records or other PHI through your resume, profile, or any other feature of the Site.

13. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING

MediJobs is operated from India, and the information we collect may be processed and stored in India or other countries where our service providers (such as hosting providers) operate. By using the Site, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in a country different from your own, which may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.

14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time by posting a revised version on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
