Director of Women’s and Children’s Services Full Time Varied

Position Summary:

The Women’s and Children’s Division is comprised of Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatrics and MoMM’s Place (Lactation Consulting & Outpatient Obstetric Education/Classes) service lines. The Director assumes 24 hour responsibility in directing, coordinating, supervising and evaluating the clinical activities and performance of the nursing staff and operations of this division. Responsibilities include planning, implementation, management, and support of all aspects of patient care systems and processes for the Women’s and Children’s division. This role assumes accountability for providing safe, competent Patient and Family Centered care for Women’s and Children’s patients in accordance with Manatee Memorial Hospital policies, procedures, standards and philosophy. Plan and administers the daily operational and annual budget in collaboration with the CNO. Provides exceptional professional leadership and support to all members of the health care team. Participates on assigned hospital and medical committees and promotes collaborative relationships among nursing services, medical staff and ancillary departments.

Qualifications

• Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing
• BSN, required
• MSN, preferred
• Current RN licensure in Florida
• Current BLS (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
• National Certification, preferred
