Who We Are:
6 Medical Surgical Unit is a 57 bed unit, it is the largest unit at Mercy Hospital. Being a part of the Med/Surg team, you will work with a variety of diagnosis as well as using your nursing skills on a daily basis. You will see NG tubes, corpaks, CBI, chest tubes, PD exchanges, traches, colostomy’s, wound vacs, central lines, and foleys. We work in collaboration with the whole care team to help patients recover and be able to return home or to a nursing facility.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Preferred Experience: 1 yr LPN exprience
- Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure. Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire
