Job Responsibilities

  • Working in contract role in a local acute facility for a designated time period (usually 10-15 weeks)
  • Providing high-quality RN care in a range of positions in acute care facilities
  • Developing patient care plans in coordination with medical staff and patients
  • Verifying medical histories and interventions and ensuring proper documentation
  • Monitoring patient outcomes and reviewing options with physicians and the broader nursing care team
  • Communicating care options with patients and family members
  • Ensuring that patients receive the appropriate treatments and medications
  • Ensuring the proper setup and operation of medical equipment
  • Supervising and training nurses and support staff
  • Promoting compliance with facility policies and nursing care standards
  • Assisting with incident investigations and reporting

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current Massachusetts state Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Completion of an approved nursing program (BSN preferred)
  • 2 years experience (ER, PCU, or Telemetry)
  • BLS and ACLS certification (from an approved organization)
  • Immunizations as required by facilities
  • Completion of background check
  • Additional certifications and experience may be needed for certain Telemetry, Med-Surg, ER, or PCU positions
